My early birthday present has arrived! I’m so happy! Golly, I love John Wayne.

My Current Reading :)

Right now I’m half way through “Hard Country” by Michael McGarrity. I couldn’t possibly recommend this book enough. McGarrity writes with ease and weaves such a beautifully researched fiction.

Next on the plate is “Empire of the Summer Moon” by S.C. Gwynne. I’ve heard mixed reviews about this book but that actually made me want to read it more. I’m very curious about Native American culture and this book focuses on Quanah Parker and the Comanche Indians.

Lastly, I have “Blood Feud” by Lisa Alther. This book is the story about the war between the Hatfield’s and the McCoy’s. I have yet to hear anything negative about this book and I’m really looking forward to starting it.
